Turf Rescue FAQ’S

  • The best time is during the growing season:

    • Bermuda & Zoysia: Late spring through summer.

    • Cool-season grasses: Fall is ideal

This ensures your grass recovers quickly and fills in properly.

  • Most North Texas lawns benefit from aeration once a year, but heavily compacted or high-traffic lawns may need it twice annually.

  • No—when done correctly. We apply material in thin layers so your grass can grow through it. You may see temporary stress, but it recovers quickly and comes back stronger.

  • You’ll notice smoother ground immediately, but full results typically appear within 2–4 weeks as the grass grows through the top dressing.

  • Yes. Watering is critical: Light, frequent watering for the first 1–2 weeks helps grass grow through the new soil and establishes quickly.

  • Leveling can help improve minor drainage problems by eliminating low spots. For major drainage issues, additional solutions may be recommended.

  • No. As long as we have access to your yard, we can complete the work. We’ll communicate before and after the job.

  • What sets Turf Rescue apart is our use of commercial-grade equipment. Unlike smaller, less efficient machines, our Earth &Turf 415SP allows us to complete aeration and lawn leveling more efficiently by covering more ground in less time while maintaining a clean, consistent finish. This efficiency helps us keep our pricing fair while delivering quality results.

Turf Rescue is firefighter-owned and operated, and we carry those values into every job—showing up on time, working hard, and treating your property with care and respect. Our goal is simple: to leave your lawn better than the way we found it.

  • To help us deliver the best results and protect your property, we ask that you complete a few simple steps before your scheduled service:

    • Mark and flag all sprinkler heads, valves, and any shallow utility lines. This is very important to help us avoid accidental damage during aeration and leveling.

    • Remove or clearly mark any objects in the yard such as landscape lighting, drainage emitters, pet items, toys, or hidden obstacles that our equipment should avoid.

    • Mow your lawn to its lowest recommended setting (scalping if appropriate for your grass type) and bag clippings when possible.

    • Lightly water your lawn the day before service (if irrigation is available). Taking these steps allows us to work efficiently while delivering a smoother, more consistent
